goodbye, and thanks for the cakes

this seems like as good a place as any to take a break.

true love brawls

for any super smash bros. fans out there, i recently drew a seven page comic that is featured on the popular video game comic site, life meter, this week. its a story called “true love brawls.”

it features my two favorite characters from the game (and pretty much all of the nintendo universe), kirby and link. you can read the full comic HERE!

*for anyone unfamiliar with the game and possibly a bit confused about the comic’s ending, this info might lend some clarification.

megacon photos and a webcomics panel

megacon was not only a blast as usual, but my most financially successful con ever! which was great since jen and i really needed that right now. super thanks to everyone that stopped by cow & buffalo land and bought some stuff. jen’s posted her pictures of the festivities up HERE on flickr.

on saturday, against my better judgment, i participated in a webcomics panel. you can listen to it HERE on the gigcast.

i’m pretty quiet up till about a half hour in- at which point I don’t shut up. i also don’t tend to say anything very enlightening or articulate (or even related to the questions) but some of the other more talented creators (and girl) are able to bounce off my nervous ranting to say some good things. why i was even up there in the first place is still beyond me.

talking to newsarama

there’s an interview with me up on newsarama today in which i talk about cow & buffalo, their new book and the various other comic projects i have going on. you can read it HERE.

also, a reminder that i will be at the orlando megacon this weekend at table white 7. hope to see you there!

cow and buffalo have a new book!

its true! and its totally awesome. check out the press release below:

Cow & Buffalo’s second book is here! Stuperheroes collects the popular webcomic’s entire superhero epic from August 2006 to December 2007 and includes an all-new six page back-up story, select comics from 2007’s “Journey Cow” event, new illustrations, guest art and a recipe for The World’s Greatest Sandwich featuring a special comic introduction starring none other than Mike Maihack himself. It is available now for only $10 at (shipping included)!

Also, for a limited time only, Cow & Buffalo’s first book, Adventures in Sandwich Making, is on sale for only $5 with the purchase of at least one copy of Stuperheroes. This deal is only available at and not any other retail market.

Specs: Stuperheroes features a full-color, perfect-bound cover with 112 black and white pages inside. It is a book.

there are more pages, more action and more exclusive all-new content than their first book! plus i’ll draw a sketch in each book purchased. so what are you waiting for? vist the cow & buffalo store now and show your friends how cool you are that you have this book and not them (but then tell them to get one too). :)
