what a wonderful feeling…

time is just not on my side for drawergeeks lately. but i would have been kicking myself (which i’m sure is awfully difficult but i’d try anyhow) if i missed zombie week! so here is my super kinetically quick colorless submission:

one of my life long goals is to see/create a zombie musical, and i wish i had more time to do better justice to this image i’ve had in my head for a crazy long time now. also, trying some new things. pushing myself to use more solid blacks and be looser with my drawing. didn’t turn out as bad as i thought it might. though it needs a ninja. there will be singing ninjas in my zombie musical too. and david hasselhoff. as maybe a ninja.

also- i drew a guest strip for fellow floridian webcomiker derrick fish this week and forgot to tell you all to go over and read it on tuesday (i was too excited to talk about speed racer). so click HERE to go over and read it. dandy & company is a pretty hilarious webcomic, so you might find yourself lingering there a little longer than you want. but derrick assures me, that’s ‘okay.’

Ha! Singin’ In The Rain is my favorite musical!

You know – these days all you need to make a movie is a decent video camera and an Apple computer. We could go over to USF and recruit some theater majors and film “The Sound of Zombie Ninja Music.” Ooo – weekend project! :)

I’ll be first in line to see singing Zombies! And with singing Ninjas I’ll be in the front row.

hahahaha. Great drawing, Mike. I´ll be right behind Scott to see this musical…and David Hasselhoff as a ninja is a plus.

This was my favorite of the bunch today at Drawergeeks. Well done Mike! It almost has a Mike Mignola feel whisch works perfectly with the subject matter.

It is a reality. “Zombie! The Musical” premiers in Philadelphia on September 3, 2009 at Plays and Players Theater. Also look for the fan page on Facebook!
